Self-Balancing Technology is at the heart of each and every Brink MVHR system. But what is Self-Balancing Technology and why does it matter?

What is Self-Balancing Technology?

Self-Balancing Technology ensures the MVHR unit continuously adjusts fan speeds, to automatically  balance air pressures inside and outside the home. It does this, without any external intervention whatsoever.

Why Does it matter?

By balancing air pressures inside and outside the home, the risk of exporting warm air from the home in the midst of winter and importing it at the height of summer can be eliminated. Self-Balancing Technology is critical in maximising total ventilation system efficiency.

Anything else?

Yes. A Self-Balanced System will create a more comfortable and pleasant living environment for homeowners and householders. It means a reduced risk of drafts in winter and together with the Summer Bypass function baked into every Brink MVHR unit, helps provides a natural cooling effect in summer. Greater total system efficiency helps reduce energy bills. And a Self-Balancing system, ensures installers and ventilation engineers can spend less time configuring the systems they install too.

Are all MVHR Units Self-Balancing?

Given that Self-Balancing Technology is critical to optimising the performance of any MVHR system and maximising energy performance, you'd be forgiven for assuming every MVHR unit incorporates Self-Balancing Technology as standard. However and somewhat surprisingly, not all MVHR units are actually self-balancing in operation.
