Who Are We?

Brink Ventilation Systems is headquartered in The Netherlands and produced its first MVHR system almost 40 years ago. Today, the company operates worldwide, specialising in the design, development and manufacture of specialist Mechanical ventilation with Heat Recovery technologies.

Brink is represented in Ireland and Northern Ireland by Kernohan Distribution - a leading distributor of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery, electrical, heating and plumbing products.

What Do We Do?

We work closely with architects, self-builders and developers to design Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery systems for modern, low energy homes. We adopt a 5-stage process to system design:

We take a hands-on approach to everything we do. So, our systems can be installed by your own, preferred, MVHR contractor. Or, where required, we can take end-to-end ownership of your Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery ventilation project and arrange installation and commissioning too. And at our Self Build & Technology Centre in Conlig, Co. Down, we have actual installations, demonstration systems and example layouts for you to see and inspect.

What Makes Us Different?

We recognise that no two self-build projects are the same. So, we take the time to understand your project and work with your architect and contractor, to create a system tailored to your home and to your lifestyle.

If your architect or contractor is unfamiliar with mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, we also offer free, independently certified, CIBSE, Engineers Ireland, RIAI and RIBA accredited CPD courses for construction industry professionals too.

Experience demonstrates that it simply isn't possible to simply buy an effective and efficient 'off the shelf' MVHR system online. That's why, as a responsible supplier we work in partnership with professional, competent installers. And it's why, you'll never find the complete Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery systems we supply, for sale online.

How Can I Find Out More?

An Overview of Modern Ventilation Technologies

Introducing Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery

Delivering Compliance with Building Regulations

Make The Most of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery

Why Is Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery Just So Important?

Today’s homes are remarkably well insulated. In just a generation, new homes across Ireland  have been transformed, from some of the chilliest in Europe, to among the most efficient. That’s great news for the environment. But it poses a challenge to homeowners and housebuilders alike.

Because modern homes are better insulated, more air stays inside them for longer. And stale air can prove a real problem. At best it’s a nuisance. At worst it  can prove injurious to health and, can even damage the fabric of your new home.

That’s why our range of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery systems is designed to provide a continuous supply of clean, freshly filtered air, whilst recovering residual heat. The result is a system that is surprisingly affordable and convenient to install, operate and maintain.

Peace Of Mind And Reassurance Supplied As Standard

Since an efficient, effective, MVHR system is one of the most important investments you can make in any home, all our systems come with inbuilt peace of mind and reassurance as standard. So, when you install and commission a MVHR system supplied by us, we guarantee:

  • A MVHR system which is self-balancing in operation for maximum comfort and efficiency;
  • An air distribution system that is 100% airtight, for efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Because we believe in the Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery systems we design and supply, we back them up with a 5-year, conditional warranty against material, manufacturing and design defect. And since we're part of Kernohan Distribution - a business which has been around for over 40 years - you can trust us to keep our promises and honour our commitments.

Kernohan Distribution

As part of Kernohan Distribution, we offer much more than just a great range of ventilation systems. We represent market-leading and world class manufacturers, including AEG, AGA, Danfoss, HETA, Keuco, Rangemaster, Valsir and Villeroy & Boch.

We work with specialist merchants, resellers and partners across Ireland, to help self-builders turn their plans into reality.

Take our new range of Valsir Underfloor Heating Systems for instance. When combined with Danfoss Icon controls, they're ideal for use with Air Source Heat Pumps and conventional Oil and Gas-Fired Boilers too. Delivering efficient and controllable warmth throughout your home, they perfectly partner Brink MVHR technologies.

You can find out more about Valsir UFH systems and Danfoss Icon controls at our Self Build & Technology Centre.
